Who is the Oklahoma District Export Council?

• We are volunteer group of exporters and export service providers who are appointed biannually by the U.S. Secretary of Commerce to provide support and education to new and existing exporters in the State of Oklahoma.

• Our goal is to centralize resources and reduce knowledge barriers for Oklahoma entrepreneurs with an eye on growing their global business. Exporters can access unique mentoring opportunities with a wide array of Oklahoma companies currently exporting.

• In addition, the DEC brings together representatives from the Small Business Administration, Oklahoma Manufacturing Alliance, EXIM Bank, and other governmental agencies that can offer guidance on moving forward with intelligent exporting.

We are currently seeking global trade professionals who are interested in helping us educate and support exporters in Oklahoma.

*Members of the District Export Council are appointed every two years and must be thoroughly vetted by the U.S. Department of Commerce through a rigorous application process. They must be recommended by a current Member of the DEC. They are voting Members of the Council.

**Friends of the DEC are global trade professionals who would like to first try out the activities of the DEC for a year or two before applying for full Membership. They can attend quarterly meetings and other activities, but do not vote.
